Every approach used by Mira has an extensive evidence base in peer-reviewed scientific literature.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
CBT is one of the most widely studied methods in psychotherapy. Systematic reviews and meta-analyses published in JAMA, The Lancet, and NIH demonstrate its effectiveness for anxiety disorders, depression, OCD, and panic attacks. CBT helps identify dysfunctional thought patterns and replace them with more adaptive strategies.
Gestalt Therapy
The Gestalt approach focuses on awareness of present experience, reconnecting with one's own needs, and completing unresolved emotional processes. A systematic review of empirical studies confirms its clinical effectiveness. The method is particularly effective for chronic stress, low self-esteem, and interpersonal conflicts.
Quick Support
An unstructured emotional support format: a space to speak freely, feel heard, and stabilize your emotional state without in-depth therapeutic processing. It draws on the principles of active listening and emotional validation — an approach known in clinical psychology as Non-Directive Supportive Therapy. A meta-analysis of 58 studies confirmed its effectiveness in reducing symptoms of depression and anxiety.
EFIT — Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy
EFIT is the individual version of Emotionally Focused Therapy, developed by Sue Johnson. The method works with attachment and core emotions as key drivers of psychological well-being. A 2025 randomized controlled trial (RCT) showed significant reductions in symptoms of depression and anxiety.
SFBT — Solution-Focused Brief Therapy
SFBT shifts the focus from the problem to resources and solutions. A 2024 meta-analysis published in Clinical Psychology Review confirms its effectiveness for anxiety, depression, and behavioral difficulties. SFBT is especially valuable for people seeking specific changes within a defined timeframe.
New Approaches
Mira continues to evolve. We regularly add new evidence-based modalities — each undergoes clinical validation under the guidance of our Clinical Director before being introduced to the platform.
Clinical Oversight
The AI doesn't operate on its own. Behind every Mira session is a multi-layered quality assurance process.
Automated Monitoring
Every session is automatically reviewed by a specialized algorithm. It analyzes model behavior and flags any deviations from established standards.
Weekly Clinical Review
A team of mental health professionals, led by Clinical Director Dr. Michael Kumov, reviews monitoring results weekly and refines the AI Mind Mentor's logic and principles.
Continuous Updates
Mira's protocols are regularly updated based on new clinical data and user feedback. Mira is not static — it gets better every week.
Safety First
Mira is designed with situations in mind where a person may need emergency help.
Crisis Protocol
If Mira detects signs of an acute suicidal crisis or an immediate threat to life during a conversation, the session is terminated immediately. The user is strongly encouraged to contact their country's emergency mental health service.
Mira does not continue the conversation during a crisis — this is a deliberate decision. In a moment of acute crisis, a person needs human help, not AI.
Ethical Boundaries
Mira does not engage in conversations that could cause harm to the user. If a request falls outside the scope of mental health support or conflicts with the user's well-being, the model will respectfully limit the dialogue.
Mira also does not give life-altering directive advice — such as "leave your partner," "quit your job," or "sell your property." This is a fundamental principle: Mira's purpose is to help people understand themselves better, not to make decisions for them.
Confidentiality
All sessions are strictly confidential. Mira does not share personal data with third parties.
Important: Mira is an AI-powered mental health support tool. Mira is not a substitute for emergency psychiatric care. If you are experiencing a severe mental health crisis or a threat to life — please contact a professional or your country's emergency service.
